ELIGIBLE CONTESTANTS AND ENTRIES

1.     The promoter of this competition is Westfalia Fruit (“Westfalia”, “we” or “us”).

2.     The competition is open to South African residents only.

3.     Entrants must be 18 years and older. 

4.     The following persons are excluded from this competition:

1.     a director, member, partner, employee or agent of, or consultant to Westfalia Fruit or 

2.     any other person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by Westfalia Fruit; and 

3.     a supplier of goods or services in connection with this competition; and 

4.     the spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family members of the parties referred to in 4.1 and 4.2, and

5.     anyone who won a Westfalia Fruit competition within the last 90 calendar days.

5.     All entries must share their go to Avocado toast this can be a picture/image or video comment on Facebook or post on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok and tag us using the hashtag #avoexpert to stand a chance to win one of two KitchenAid Artisan 1250W 2 Slice Automatic Toasters - Pebble Palm. 

6.     The competition will run from 17 April 2025 – 9 May 2025 

7.     No late entries will be accepted entries close at 11:59 pm on Friday the 9th of May 2025

8.     All entrants would need to follow our pages in order to be considered as a valid entry 

9.     All entries, duly completed, must be received by us before the competition closing date and time. If not, such entry will not be eligible, regardless of the reason for the late receipt of the entry, including due to lost, late or misdirected mail; printing errors; server unavailability; or computer or any other electronic or telecommunications malfunction.

10.   All entries received that are mutilated, tampered with, or illegible will be void.

11.   Only one entry per valid social media profile will be considered.

WINNER SELECTION

12.   The prize winner will be selected randomly from valid participants. 

13.   The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the winners of the competition. 

14.   The winner will also be notified by means of the contact details provided to us on the closing date, or as soon as possible thereafter.

15.   You have the right to decline:

1.     the use of your image in marketing material; 

2.     an invitation to participate in any marketing activity; 

3.     an invitation to be present when the draw is taking place, or the winner is announced.

16.   If the prizes are sponsored by a third party, that third party will be entitled to receive the personal information of the entrants and the identity of the third party will be mentioned in the competition terms and conditions. 

GENERAL RULES

17.   These are the general competition Terms and Conditions. We may add additional terms and conditions for specific competitions and if we do both these terms and conditions and those specific competition terms and conditions will apply, unless there is a conflict between them, in which case the specific competition terms and conditions apply. 

18.   The prize is non-transferable and may not be converted into cash. 

19.   Note that some expenses may not be included in the prize.  

20.   We reserve the right to cancel this competition, or to change the rules at our discretion or to change the prize at any time without notice to you.

21.   We reserve the right to refuse payment or handing over of a prize to any potential winner who refuses to, or cannot, provide sufficient documentation to verify his/her identity.

22.   The prize will be delivered to the winner. A full postage address must be supplied.

23.   You may not be awarded a prize if it is unlawful for us to supply such a prize to you. 

24.   No “automated” entries will be allowed, and all entries must be made by a natural person manually on our Platforms where the competition is displayed.

25.   If any entry has been made in any manner which in Westfalia Fruit’s discretion may provide an entrant with an unfair advantage over other entrants, unless these rules specifically allow such conduct, such entrant will be automatically disqualified from this and all future competitions run by us.
